The Most Important Rule

Spirit of the Game:
“Ultimate relies upon a spirit of sportsmanship which places the responsibility for fair play on the player. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect among players, adherence to the agreed upon rules of play, or the basic joy of the game. Protection of these vital elements serves to eliminate adverse conduct from the Ultimate field. Such actions as taunting of opposing players, dangerous aggression, belligerent intimidation, intentional fouling, or other ‘win-at-all-costs’ behavior are contrary to the spirit of the game and must be avoided by all players.” -10th Edition UPA Rules
There will be no referees this year.

Ultimate is a non-contact sport and fouls are called by the players . . . The score will be kept by both sides and agreed upon after each score. All foul calls and line calls will be made by the players on the field. The person with the “best perspective” should make the call. If a call is “contested,” the disc goes back to the original thrower.

I will serve as an observer and can help resolve disputes if needed. I can also eject or suspend players who get a little too crazy for a church ultimate league.
